scatter.

the vibrantly pitch
night sky
invades the land
as if a van gogh painting
the king,
the torn father
.in his best clothing,
 in his worst face
in his hay stack
berd nest
beard
 as if being prepared,
as if being doomed to a funiral.
as if barying his golden locked daughter
one more time every year,
on the date of her birth,
he releases the magnificently
florescent
lantern.
the first.
a first touch of gentle light
a gentle guide
a gentle plea
into the roaming terrors of an infinite
night sky
and then a thousand more.
 the hollow wombed mother,
 the queen
grabs hold of her husbands shoulders
 and figidly whispers to him,
she will be back to us,
these lanterns have flown the day she was born,
  will fly when she returns
and rest. the day she dies.
like this lantern,
our stranded,  radiant
golden haired daughter.

the lord: a tale of the irresistiblity of long lived drakness.

"how could you ever think I could ever go back? how could you think any of us could go back to our dull homes, and our warm beds, when we`ve been to the very peek of the earth and back/ when we`ve spent so many mornings so many evenings declared alive by the sound of the sword, by the sent of soil, blood, and soiled blood.a midst the battle field, peace is a naive myth.
and after days of hunger, after mellow afternoons and on the verge, scorned nights driven by the soul perpous of the very idea of so many people , women, children, waiting on us, and at the end of it all I am aching, my heart longs for those days, for those men at my side when there was nothing but darkness, the beginning of darkness, the ending of darkness, the depth and surface of darkness, the sent of darkness, the taste of darkness the feel of darkness.
when the remnants of a distant illuminating, lonesome star was the reason any of us could hope, how can you think I could smile when my days consist of coffee and toast and the morning paper?"

marching homewards.

on we march.
homwards. and we follow the scums, the dirt, the animal guts thrown upon our heads.
but we follow the crumbs of light left over, from stars that passed by these silent woods some few centuries ago.
hope is the ugliest of emotions, hope has been a trader.
we kiss our wives, and children because even though no one heard us calling, even though they disparately tried to shut their ears.
our please loud and clear. this is war, perhaps not in the conventional way, but this is our own personal war, as we march homewards.
