feathers

flames eat up at your flesh, helpless as I am I watch in agony .1

companions we were, neighbors nest to nest, we sailed the great skies together, our feathers caressing the clouds, we would hunt worms, nudging them with our beaks, we take them to our young to feed.

we didnt know much about one another but we eased each other`s pains, the pains of knowing that our days are near, and our young at risk, of growing old fatherless, ,motherless, loveless, homeless, oh how they destroy our lands, take out flesh and meat as there means of pleasure, our souls there cheep priced perches, our feathers there`s to enjoy, pull them pluck them we scream and fight, as helpless as ever, I watch flames eat up your flesh..

dear old friend I am next.
